Cultivate + co. is a specialist landscape architecture practice based in the Perth Hills, offering consultancy and design solutions focused on urban rewilding, rural regeneration + community collaboration.

We create landscapes that are not only resilient + regenerative, but also enriching + purposeful for the people who inhabit them. We seek to create landscapes that deliver positive environmental outcomes, with a focus on energy efficiency, biodiversity, local food production, permaculture principles, waste minimisation, and water sensitive urban design (WSUD).

Embedded in Western Australia’s unique environments, our work reflects a deep understanding of the region’s landscapes—its climate, soils, flora, and fauna.

Robyn Renton

Robyn is an experienced, highly creative landscape architect with over 20 years working in Perth and overseas. Having grown up in Perth, studied locally, and now living with her family in the Perth Hills, Robyn has developed a deep understanding and appreciation of the Western Australian climate, soils, and native flora. Robyn has specialist expertise in plants, particularly species endemic to Western Australia, and a deep understanding of how to use them effectively to provide shade, food, privacy, visual amenity, habitat, and enhanced biodiversity. Her experience spans from intimate residential spaces through to large-scale commercial projects across a broad range of sectors, including education, healthcare and therapeutic environments, as well as play, recreation, and community collaboration. Robyn has been fortunate to lead and collaborate on innovative, interdisciplinary landscape architecture that deliver strong community and environmental outcomes. She works effectively alongside engineers, architects, and builders as part of integrated design team.

Robyn’s Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Landscape Architecture with Honours University of Western Australia (2006)
  • Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute, UK (2010, however not maintained membership)
  • Registered Landscape Architect with Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) (since 2012) Registration No. is 001788.

Collaborative

Depending on the project requirements, Culitvate + co. engages with a number of aligned professionals including architects, engineers, arboriculturalist, ecologists and permaculturalists.
