Terminalia ferdinandiana
Kakadu Plum, also known as Billy Goat Plum and Gubinge is a native Australian tree that grows in open Eucalypt forests across Northern Australia. Considered a gift of the Dreamtime by First Nations peoples of Australia, Kakadu Plum has a history of nutritional and medicinal uses for thousands of years, including treating wounds and skin irritations.
As the richest known source of Vitamin C in the world, about 50 times that of oranges, along with high levels of Ellagic Acid and other phenolic compounds, it is a powerful antioxidant that fights oxidadtive stress by neutralising free radicals in the skin, helping to prevent premature ageing. In addition to stimulating collagen production for smoother more elastic skin, Kakadu Plum helps to even our pigmentation, calms irritated skin and brightens the complexion.
